Welcome to Computational Mechanics Laboratory (Fujii Laboratory, Shinshu University).
In our laboratory, we develop topology optimization, which is a type of structural optimization, and study structural design that exhibits new and extraordinary functions. We propose effective solutions to difficult properties that appear in structural optimization such as multi-modality, dependency between design variables, multi-dimensional design variable space, and high physical property value ratio. By applying it to cutting-edge physical problems such as metadevice design, we demonstrate its effectiveness and aim at ultimate control of wave physics (optical/electromagnetic, acoustic) and diffusion physics (thermal/electrical).
